Updates from 2020 onward - more journals and SPI Manifesto update and chance to win free tickets

  1. Research papers will not be presented in an extra research stream, but will be integrated as research sessions into the thematic workshops/streams. This will create a better integration and networking of research and industry / applied science and fertilize the grounds for a technology transfer at European level.
  2. Papers will be published first in the SPRINGER book. EuroAsiaSPI² 2020 editorial teams will select papers from the book and propose an extended version (50% must be different) to be published in a journal. From 2020 onward EuroAsiaSPI² 2020 collaborates with WILEY (SPI Best Practices), IET Software (Gamification), JUCS (Journal of Universal Computer Science)  for Safety and Cybersecurity. More cooperations will be announced.
  3. In early 2010 the SPI Manifesto has been published the first time. In 2019 the SPI Manifesto workshop at EuroAsiaSPI² 2019 agreed to update the SPI manifesto. The values and principles will stay, but the example experience stories to explain a specific principle will be updated. Please submit such an experience story, help to update the SPI manifesto and win one of 3 free tickets to the conference (the three best rated stories win a free ticket).

Research papers shall be 8-12 pages, and address the below research paper topics in the call.

Thematic topics papers shall be 8-12 pages, and address one of the 10 thematic paper topics per workshop community below.

Thematic Paper Topics per Workshop Community

Updates from 2020 onward concerning thematic topic/workshop communities

Former topic Medical Device Industry is an industry segment and EuroAsiaSPI² 2020 rather supports thematic topics so that we invited the medical experts to join together with Automotive, Aerospace, IT, Software, etc. the thematic streams and not stay separate as a domain.  The former topic traceability decided not to continue since in the last years lots of materials/papers were produced and new topics shall be put into the focus. New topics have been added, such as Emerging and Multidisciplinary Approaches to Software Engineering, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and New Ideas / Proposals.

 

Emerging and Multidisciplinary Approaches to Software Engineering
Results of a multidisciplinary research with an impact on software engineering challenges and emerging trends. Impacts or potential impacts for software engineering should be clearly identified and articulated.
Software Engineering problems that need to be solved from a spectrum of disciplines including, but not limited to, the social sciences; industrial management; engineering economics, various related engineering disciplines, and cyber-physical systems.
Software Engineering problems that need to be solved in the cloud, connecting systems to the cloud, and managing big data in the cloud.
Software Engineering problems that need to be solved when implementing Artificial Intelligence algorithms and machine learning where the same software depending on learning factors provides different output.
Software engineering problems that need to be solved to use open source software in highly safety critical environments.
